What airport should I fly into?

The most convenient airport is Milan Malpensa (MXP), which is approximately 1 hour and 15-30 minutes away by car.

How can I get to my hotel from the airpot?

GROUND TRAVEL PUBLIC TRANSPORT: From MXP Airport, the Malpensa Express Train is the fastest way to get to Lake Como. Take the Malpensa Express (departing from both terminals) to Milan and get off at Saronno (20 min, €8 ride). At Saronna station take the train from Milano Cadorna to Como Lago and get off at Como San Giovanni (40 min, €3 ride). Take the C10 Bus that stops in front of the small station. Tickets can be purchased at the “Como Caffe” (convenience store) inside the station for €4. Ring the “stop” button on the bus before your stop. From LIN Airport, take a Taxi from outside the airport to Milano Centrale Train Station (10-20 min, €15-20 ride). Then take the train to Como San Giovanni Station, which departs every 30 min and get off at Como San Giovanni (40min, €4 - €7.50 pending on class). Take the C10 Bus that stops in front of the small station. Tickets can be purchased at the “Como Caffe” (convenience store) inside the station for €4. Make sure to ring the “stop” button on the bus before your stop.

TRANSFERS/TAXI: You can also book a Transfer directly from the airport to your hotel (on Lake Como). From Malpensa (MXP) approx. €300. Alternatively you can catch a taxi just outside the station Como San Giovanni if arriving from Milan/Airport by train the price is approx. €100-150.

How do I get to Villa Balbiano from my hotel?

Transportation will be provided for all guests between their hotel and Villa Balbiano for each of the three events. Once you’ve booked your accommodation, please share the details with our planning team so they can coordinate your transfers. For any transportation outside of the hosted events, please refer to the options listed above.

What if I want to book accommodation other than the ones listed on the website?

We recommend staying at one of the suggested hotels to take full advantage of the organized transportation. If you prefer to book a different location, please ensure it is located close to the recommended hotels or near Villa Balbiano to make transfers easy. Kindly share your accommodation details with our planners in advance so we can do our best to coordinate your transportation smoothly.
